Police have laid charges in connection with the death of a 16-year-old Regina boy on Friday evening.

A 15-year-old boy is charged with second degree murder as well as a breach of undertaking. A 16 year-old boy is also charged with second degree murder.

Their names cannot be released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Officers were called out to the 1100 block of Montague Street in the city's North Central neighbourhood at about 9:39 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found three males suffering from various injuries. They were taken to hospital where one of them later died.

The injuries sustained by the other two males are being described as non-life-threatening.

The two teenaged boys who have been charged are scheduled to appear in youth court today in Regina.
