REGINA - The Saskatchewan Party's elite membership is under review after questions were raised about whether it opens the door to lobby politicians.

Party president Gary Meschishnick says any provisions in the Enterprise Club that appear to provide preferential access to decision-makers are being removed.

Meschishnick says Premier Brad Wall has decided changes should be made if even one person misperceived the intent of the membership.

Luncheon meetings that Enterprise Club members have with ministers will also be discontinued.

Concerns were raised after the CEO of two colleges bought the $1,000 annual membership and expensed the cost.

The board said in a letter to the government that it had OK'ed the expense because it felt the CEO should be more exposed to and aware of the political process.
