Regina police are now treating the death of a 16-year-old boy in North Central Regina over the weekend as a homicide.

Officers found the dead teen's body lying on the lawn of a home at Eighth Avenue and Rae Street just after 5 a.m. Saturday.

The victim's name is not being released.

Results of an autopsy are pending.

Police are continuing their investigation. So far, no charges have been laid.
