Since Tuesday members of the Stony Rapids RCMP detachment had been searching for a missing person.
On Thursday they found the body of an adult male on the Black Lake First Nations and have identified him as the missing person.
The missing person investigation is now being treated as a homicide investigation, as foul play is a consideration.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until the family members have been notified.
