It's Food Day in Canada, and the government is encouraging everyone to "Eat Canadian" Saturday.
Food Day Canada is an opportunity for Canadians to celebrate the contributions of farmers and processors. Agriculture is an essential part of this country's economy, accounting for around two million jobs and contributing about 8 per cent to Canada's Gross Domestic Product.
Approximately 300 restaurants across Canada will be serving all Canadian menus as part of the celebration.
