A teen has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of a Regina woman last year.

The 17-year-old girl, who cannot be named, was originally charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Jasmine Smith.

Police found Smith, 18, suffering from stab wounds in North Central Regina last June. She died in hospital a day later.

The two teens were allegedly involved in an altercation at a house in the 1000 block of Rae Street.

Sentencing has been adjourned to Feb. 29.
