A 43-year-old Regina police officer is facing impaired driving charges.
Police say Darryl Blampied was arrested after officers responded to a report of a suspected drunk driver in the 1000 block of Park Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Blampied, a corporal with 10 years of service, was not on duty at the time.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Feb. 9. Details on administrative decisions made by Regina's police chief are expected to be released Tuesday.
