Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a natural gas leak in southeast Regina on Tuesday morning.
Officials say a city work crew breached a two-inch natural gas line near Truesdale Drive. The workers had been in the middle of a major construction project.
Surrounding homes were evacuated and several streets in the area were closed to traffic.
SaskEnergy quickly shut off the supply line and repairs are expected to be completed later today.
